April

It looks like I'm a once a month blog poster lately.  So here's April.

These are the Willow Tree figures that my family gave me for Christmas.  The ones that made me cry.   I love Willow Tree because they can portray so much emotion without a face!  Well, I was dusting these the other day, and totally had tears come to my eyes.  The fact that my kids picked these out on their own, and each for a different reason and memory... totally made me teary-eyed.  And made dusting a little better that day.  :)
Mar 4th was "Spread the Word to End the Word" day.  (Go here if you don't know what I'm talking about.  And if you don't know what I'm talking about, you really should educate yourself on this.  It's very important to us.)  Isn't this a cute pic of Anna and Katie?
Women's Conference.  I got to bring all my girls!

The 2 biggest Celine fans in the world, celebrating Celine's birthday:
Lydia got her hair cut.  She has been growing out her bangs for awhile, and now they're even with the rest of her hair.  She was happy.

THIS is more like my Lydia.  lol.  She got bored of me trying to get her to smile and did this.
Nathan teaching our last Family Home Evening before his mission.  He did an amazing job, and it was a really spiritual night.  This is Caleb, asking Nathan very deep questions.  This picture doesn't do justice to what we were all feeling that night.
This is Sunday afternoon.  We have early church and teenagers.  Need I say more?  I walked into the room and found this.  lol.
Cute picture of Elizabeth reading with her baby and animals.
Caleb lost his first tooth!    According to Caleb, "I was eating a chocolate bunny, and I felt something hard.  I thought it was a bunny bone.  So I took it out, and it was MY TOOTH!".  Bunny bone??  In a chocolate bunny?  He's so funny!
Katie had her first cavity.  She's terrified of the dentist!  In the past, we've had to sedate her to even get her teeth cleaned.  But over the last couple years, she has built up enough confidence to let them clean her teeth.  And then she even let them fill a cavitiy!  She was SO nervous and so scared.  But she did it!  I later learned from a friend who is a dental assistant that that is REALLY rare for a patient with Down syndrome to cooperate like that.  Good thing Katie and I didn't know that.  WTG Katie!

I found this one morning and thought it was cute.  They're so snuggly and still in the morning.  Too bad that doesn't last long.
More random sleeping on the floor.  Apparently this happens often in our house??  I don't think they were all asleep.  I think they were just waking up. (And that's Sterling in the top left corner.  Blake named our vacuum cleaner because it seems to be out all the time, and is always photo bombing pictures.  So he made it an honorary family member and gave it a name.)

Caleb, helping Nathan pack for his mission.

Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa visited us!

We played a lot of games.  We love playing games with Grandma and Grandpa!  This one made us laugh so hard!  I had never played it before.  It's called Telestrations.  I highly recommend it.  It's fun for the whole family.

I ordered a broom from Amazon because I have prime and needed it quickly.  It came in a long box.  Michael put Elizabeth in said box.  They all found this funny.

Lydia combed Dad's hair with the new broom.  That's so Lydia.
More games.  This time... Scum.

Anna, listening to stories from Grandma about our ancestors.

More snuggling.  Caleb loves to snuggle.

Super yummy lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.  We took them downtown to The Plaza.  There's not much to do in Kansas that they haven't already done or seen.  But we still had a fun time with them!  Like the old saying goes, "Kansas is a great place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit."

Lydia and Caleb shared an Oreo milkshake.  Sadly Caleb can't have cheesecake because of his peanut allergy.
Random hugs.
Rubbing the boar's nose brings good luck.  So I hear, anyway.

Grandma and Grandpa left some Diet Coke in the fridge after they left.  My kids were in heaven, and begged me every second for a Coke.  I could see a couple of them becoming Diet Coke addicts in the future.  lol.

We had so much fun and miss them so much!
