We've had these pumpkin sweatshirts since Nathan was 3 and Michael was 2. They've been handed down over the years. I wish I had all the pics of the kids in digital format so I could post them. Here are the ones I have on my computer to see how the kids have changed.
The kids had a blast carving pumpkins. Blake likes carving pumpkins with the kids, which is good because if it were up to me, we'd only ever have painted pumpkins. I helped the non-carvers paint their pumpkins while Blake helped them scoop and carve.
And later in the dark... with a glowing red nose for Lydia's (as always Lydia was thinking out of the box and decided to do a Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer for Halloween) and glowing red eyes for Anna's:
We finished off our carving/painting project with our traditional Monster Cereal, toast and bananas for dinner.
Elizabeth was born at a very busy time of year. So she had her birthday celebration over the course of a few days. Here's the first celebration... cake. Elizabeth asked for a REALLY chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream. She's the Queen of Chocolate. (Well, in close competition with Katie and Mom.) Michael the Pyro was more than happy to light the candles on her cake. Since I'm always scared to light candles, I gave in and gave him the box of matches. He was thrilled and since we still have a house standing, I was too.
This year we're not doing friend birthday parties. Instead the kids can pick anywhere they want to go with the family. My girly girl Elizabeth decided to go to a place called the Belle Brigade where they do hair and makeup and let the girls dress up. She loved it and so did all the girls. Nathan and Michael chose to stay home and poor Caleb got dragged along. He kept asking if we could go home.
