I forgot to post about this. (This is from June 30th - for my own records). Poor Caleb had a bad asthma attack. He was fine when he went to bed, woke up at 4:30 am coughing. I used his inhaler on him and we both went back to sleep. Then throughout the day, he got progressively worse and needed his inhaler more and more often, to the point that it wasn't working. He couldn't even talk between coughing/breathing. So we took him to the ER. He had a slight fever - 100.5, so he must have had a virus that triggered the attack. They gave him 4 different breathing treatments with different medicines each time. One of them was a 1-hour long treatment! Poor guy - that was a loooong time for him. He got albuterol, epinephrine and 2 others that I can't remember. They helped, but not much. His oxygen kept dropping. So they admitted him. I hadn't planned on that - I hadn't even had a shower that day. I planned on showering when I got home. Don't you usually go to the ER, they say it's a virus and send you home?! So he was on oxygen and tons of inhaled medicines. They also put him on an oral steroid. Oral steroids plus Caleb = CRAZY! He was on the oral steroid for 5 days and I swear he never stopped talking or bouncing off the walls. He was happy and nice, just super energized. I believe he talked so much and so fast that he could have had multiple conversations at once. Blake came up the next day and gave him a blessing and he immediately started improving. They sent him home after 24 hours. He's doing much better now - 100% back to normal, although he's still on inhaled steroids. That was just crazy for him to go from perfectly fine to bad in such a short time. It was rather scary. I'm so glad he's ok though, and that he recovered quickly.
His hour-long breathing treatment... thank goodness for Lightning McQueen. :)

Katie gets to meet Celine!!!!!!!!
A completely amazing, wonderful update: KATIE GETS TO MEET CELINE DION!!!!!!!!! I'm sure just about everyone in the world has heard this by now, since I've been shouting it from the roof tops (well, and facebook and email), but I had to share here too. Her video worked and Celine's management sent me an email saying it's official. We're all so, so excited. The girls and I did a happy dance around the house. Katie's dream is going to come true! Thanks to everyone who helped make that possible by sharing Katie's video.

Shopping
It's too hot to be outside and the kids aren't as excited to go swimming anymore. So we took a trip to the mall. We don't go to the mall often, so I guess that makes it blog worthy even though it's not that exciting to most people to go to the mall. Anna's been saving up forever to get an American Girl Bitty Baby. She was SO excited that she finally had enough and we finally had time to go.
Buying her bitty baby:
So excited!
And just as exciting, Dad surprised us and joined our shopping trip! He was at work and I mentioned we'd be at the mall. He works close to the mall so he left early and came and found us in Build-A-Bear. We were all excited and surprised to see him. I know how much he hates shopping, but he wanted to be there for his kids. He's such an amazing dad! He told the girls that, "Dads come on shopping trips to carry the bags." So here he is with all the loot and his happy kids.
And Anna with her new baby doll, whom she named Rebecca Ivy.

Katie's Dream to Meet Celine
Katie is the world's biggest Celine Dion fan. She wants to meet her and asks me all the time if she can see Celine. We're going to Vegas in August to see a Celine concert. I thought since we're there that I would see if I could give Katie a chance to meet Celine. So I made this video.
I hope that someone with connections will see it and Katie can live her dream of meeting Celine. Michael asked me why I was working so hard on it and why I would even try. I told him that Katie has a zero percent chance of meeting Celine if I do nothing. But she at least has a chance if I try. And besides, moms will do anything for their kids. If you haven't, please watch the video and "like" it. And then share it on facebook, twitter, email, etc. Maybe it will work.
