Good Bye Blog

It's time to say good bye to my blog.  I've had fun writing it.  I started out with it being sorta like my "family journal", and it has worked good for that purpose for many years.  And I think... hope?... that it has been fun for family and friends to have a chance to keep up with us.  But things (and electronics) are changing.  I post a lot of pictures on Facebook.  And I write in my own personal journal (but not nearly as often as I would like or should).  I have decided that Facebook and my personal journal are enough.  When I first started my blog, it served it's purpose.  But now it seems like it's just duplicate work.  So I have decided it's the end of an era and my blog will be no longer.  Maybe I'll make it into a book or something.

Thanks for reading my blog over the years!

As a final goodby, I thought it would be fun to post "THEN" and "NOW" pictures.

So here are the pictures from the right hand column of my blog that have been there since Jan 2011 ... not quite the start of my blog, but close.  I intended to update them along the way, but never did.  I'll post them side by side...

Jan 2011 vs. Jan 2016.  Wow, they have changed so much in 5 years!!

  1. I'll certainly miss keeping up with you and the kids, and seeing everyone's happy smiles. I still remember when you were pregnant with Elizabeth, and looking for names on a certain site. ;-)

  2. Blah. I hate that you are stopping the blog. This is how I started to feel a part of your life again. Seeing the pictures and hearing about all the details has been important to me. But as long as you keep doing facebook and stuff, I guess I'll give you permission to end. It is amazing to see the before and after pictures of your kids. They grow up! Do you have something online with news about nathan's mission?

  3. Since I don't do Facebook, I am so sad that you're leaving. It's been great fun to keep up with your kids over the years from where we started in our UofU Student Ward. Best Wishes to you. Love ya'll. ~ Karry Clayton
