Story behind mamalama and Lama Land

Welcome to Lama Land!

After much deliberation on a name for my blog, it has been decided! I wanted to incorporate mamalama in the title since it's everywhere in my life. Nathan suggested Mamalama Monolgue and MamaLog. The story behind mamalama goes back to when Nathan was around 18 months old and was obsessed with words. One day I was reading a book to him about zoo animals (no it's not the famous one about a mama and lama that everyone tells me about, but I've never read). When I told him one of the animals pictured was a lama, he figure out that mama rhymed with lama and started calling me mamalama. Every time he said mamalama, it made him laugh hysterically. He was pretty proud of himself. He called me that for a long time and it stuck. I use mamalama a lot online and a lot of people who don't know my last name call us the "lama clan" or refer to my kids as "the little lamas" or "the lama kids". So lots of people suggested I use mamalama in the title of my blog. Blake said it's too boring. So out of nowhere I came up with "Life in Lama Land" and he loved it. He claims it weird enough and creative enough to represent our family. Evidently we're weird and creative. So now you get to hear about Life in Lama Land. I hope you enjoy it.
