The next morning we learned that nothing opens in Vegas until 11am. And Katie didn't want to walk at all after walking thru airports and then to the Cheesecake Factory the day before. So we ordered room service. I've had room service before and they usually just bring your food to your door and hand it to you. Not in a suite at Caesar's Palace. A guy in a tux brought in a whole fancy table! The girls thought that was the coolest thing ever. After that, they wanted room service for every meal. Yeah, right.
Since we were waiting for a call from Celine on this day, we decided we better stick around the hotel. Just in case. Caesar's Palace has 8 swimming pools, so we deciding to go "pool hopping". We visited 5 of the pools, but couldn't find the other 3 and we (Katie) were tired of walking. Vegas hotels are huge!
On the way back, we walked by a cool Chinese restaurant. The whole place was "decorated" in orange fish. It was really neat in real life.
I starved my children on this trip because everything is so darn expensive in Las Vegas. I don't think you can even buy an ice cube for under $5. So we ate our room service breakfast late and then ate a kind of linner or dunch, whatever you want to call it. Surprisingly The Cheesecake Factory was among the cheapest places. It didn't take much to persuade me to trek on over there again, since I LOVE that place. We had another cheesecake sampling. This time we tried the chocolate fudge cake, cookie dough, and chocolate raspberry truffle. We learned cookie dough cheesecake isn't that good (which is sad because I love anything cookie dough). Elizabeth loved the chocolate fudge cake. She told me, "I give it this thumbs up [held up right thumb] and this thumbs up [held up left thumb] and a big smile." Here's her review:
We got back to our room with plenty of time to get ready for Celine. You already know every little detail about Celine (and if you don't, go here), so I'll skip that part. But I will add that it was so amazingly incredible! I know I've said that a million times, but I have to say it one more time. We went to bed happy and way too late because we were so hyped from our night with Celine.
